Biography
Rob White is a litigator with extensive experience in all aspects of civil litigation in both the Massachusetts State Courts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. His practice concentrates on complex business litigation, including disputes between partners or shareholders in closely-held corporations, and on general business disputes. His practice also includes litigation of Internet defamation and harassment cases.
Attorney White is a member of the Massachusetts, Worcester County and Boston Bar Associations. From the beginning of his legal career, Attorney White has been an active member of the legal community. In the early 1990s, Attorney White founded the Worcester County Bar Association's Law Office Technology Committee. He was appointed co-chairman of that Committee and served in that position for over twenty years until the Committee was retired. Attorney White has lectured on topics including the paperless office, best email practices, technology at trial, internet resources for attorneys and authentication of electronic evidence.
Attorney White has been recognized for his efforts on multiple occasions. He received the 1994 Certificate of Appreciation from the Worcester County Bar Association, the 1996 Worcester County Bar Association President's Award, the 2003 Massachusetts Bar Association Community Service Award for charitable efforts, and the 2008, 2010 and 2012 President's Awards from the Worcester County Bar Association
In 2018, Attorney White was elected to serve as President of the Worcester County Bar Association, for a term running from September 1, 2019 to August 31, 2020. As of September 1, 2020, Attorney White served as WCBA Past President and Chairperson of the Council of Presidents, made up of the past presidents of the Worcester County Bar Association.
Attorney White has also maintained a strong commitment to community service. In 2000, he co-founded the Cuban Children's Urgent Relief Effort, Inc., a Section 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission was to obtain medical supplies for pediatric hospitals and clinics in Cuba. CCURE partnered with nonprofit surgical organizations and shipped hundreds of pounds of donated medical supplies and equipment to Cuba during the fourteen years of its existence.
More recently, from 2010 to the present, Attorney White has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Second Chance Animal Services, Inc., the third largest animal rescue organization in Massachusetts. He served as the Chairman of the Board for the year 2017. He also served on the Town of West Brookfield "Town Manager Study Committee" in 2016 and 2017.
