Jason Kent

Jason Kent joined BourgeoisWhite in 2025 and brings a wealth of real-world experience to his practice of law that focuses on solving complex problems for the firm’s clients in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Jason worked many years for a large class-one freight railroad in Virginia, holding positions such as conductor and locomotive engineer that included a number of years as an elected representative with the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen Division 301 labor union.

During law school Jason interned in the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island with the Honorable John J. McConnell, Jr. and in the Massachusetts 4th Congressional District Office of former Congressman Joseph P. Kennedy, III.  Jason completed his legal studies in a semester in practice program assigned to the Honorable Richard A. Licht in the Kent County Business Session of the Rhode Island Superior Court.  Jason also holds a rare distinction of figuring out a way to take and pass the bar exam before graduating from law school.

Upon entering the practice of law, Jason gained significant experience with firms in the Worcester and Metro Boston area handling issues such as contract breaches, divorces, will contests, personal injury cases, criminal defense, and most recently worked with a complex litigation group investigating, detecting, and pursuing healthcare and insurance fraud using various laws including the federal RICO Act.  Jason has represented clients in numerous state courts throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
